Halloween Cards - Bats, Ghosts, and Jack-O-Lanterns!

This one is shakerbox, although I need thicker foam tape.

Sent this one to my husband who's in Iraq. I like the way my messy stamping looks like an old typewriter.

Help me choose a snowman

I love this new snowman stamp. Please comment with what you think of the colors, layout, matting, etc. Thanks!

Happy Birthday Squares

Love my square punch. The lettering came free with one of the spiffy British mags.

Thinking of You

I'm not sure what this technique is called, possible paper layering or paper cutting. Either way, I got the letters in the Target dollar bin!

Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my!

Still from the same magazine....Paper Crafts Aug 2007. I think I'll aim for a teddy bear next using the same circle punches.

Goodbye summer card

I love British mags. This template and the stencil to pull it off came from the same British card mag. I'm looking for the website link, but am not finding it. I will probably send it to my kid next week.

New Cards

I went on a Labor Day splurge at Michael's and JoAnn's. I also bought a new British card mag (name to be added). Here's what you can do do with circles.

Here's what you can do with a flower punch.

Welcome Baby

This is the baby card I made for Debbie's first baby, Kaitlyn. I'm so excited that I finally have a little girl to spoil, dress up, and drive her parents mad.

Green Shopping Bag

Completed 7/3/07. Made as a birthday present for my sister-in-law, Steph. It needs to be lined, but it's pretty big.

Flower Baby Blanket

This one was made for Debbie's baby girl, due sometime in early Sept. It's Michael's Crochet Hooded Baby Blanket

Using Up Yarn

I really liked that Wagon-Wheel Square, so I used up yarn left from Xmas 2006 presents to make this.

4th of July Cards

Though I was planning on making Independence Day cards since the beginning of June, naturally I put them off til the last minute. Here's one that I made for my auntie.

Under the Sea Card

Here is my combined version of the crab card (which I forgot to scan before I sent) and the octopus card that I didn't really like.

Octopus Card

I'm not entirely thrilled with this card. It's using a template from Paper Creations Summer 2007. I think I got a little carried away with the glitter. Perhaps I will try again later this week.

Happy Birthday Flower Card

Here's a birthday card using those uber-popular flowers and ribbon. It was inspired by an example in Paper Crafts June/July 2007.

Board Shorts Card

Here is a card I made using a template from the magazine Paper Crafts June/July 2007. I'm not too crazy about the pattern paper, but I'm not allowing myself to buy more paper until next month. It's also for a boy and boys are so difficult. ;)

Blue afghan - Xmas 2006

Here's my husband and the blue, chenille blanket that I made for his mommy this past Christmas. It's about 4 x 5', yet she said it would make a shawl. Crazy, I love her and enjoyed making it.

Sunny Wheel Square

Here is a square a from an afghan-to-be. I used this pattern.

Baby Cards

My best friend is pregnant! Finally someone is having a baby girl!!! (I think I'm more excited that she and her husband are). Here is a card for her and one for a former co-worker who had a baby boy in the spring. The template for the onesie is from Paper Creations Summer 2007. Images are clickable.

New Hobbies - Cardmaking and Scrapbooking

Okay, I completely dropped the ball with photographing and posting my crochet projects as they were finished. I must have made at least a dozen blankys and a bunch of assorted other junks. I will try to "back-post" and get some of them up there this summer--at least the ones I gave to my auntie, which fortunately are a lot.

Anyway, new hobby--Paper crafts! I started with scrapbooking after my wedding scrapbook was a dull, half-assed affair, and I'm determined to redo it properly this summer. I'm experimenting with greeting cards because they allow me to use all my scrapbooking crap in quicker, simpler form.

Here's the Mother's Day page I did for my mother-in-law. Sorry the scan is so bad. I will have to work on scanning things before framing.
